4 TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL BRIDAL HAIR TRIAL
Wedding preparation in itself is stressful, but when it comes to how you look on your special day, arranging a bridal hair trial is so important.
Here are some tips to ensure you will leave your trial feeling confident in what to expect when you say “I do” and that you will be looking your best!
#1 Mood Board
When creating your inspirational mood board for what you envision, pick out styles that are the same or close to your own hair color and include a picture of your dress. Blonde updos will look different on brunettes and redheads even though the style is similar. It’s important to come in with inspiration that is going to have you loving what your stylist creates and your expectations are met.
Yay or Nay to extensions! Be sure to share your mood board with your stylist, he/she will be able to give insight if extensions are needed during your trial to add to your style. Extensions of a slightly different color to your own hair will give your look instant dimension and show off the entire look perfectly.
#3 Hair Accessories
Always be prepared with hair accessories if you plan to incorporate them into your hairstyle on your wedding day – including your vail. This is crucial to test out the look just in case you decide to change your mind or play around with placement. It’s always better to make tweaks during your trial rather than on the day of your wedding!
#4 Trial Day
Come in with clean, dry hair and makeup done. This is a perfect time to get a beautiful selfie of yourself (who doesn’t love those). Select a top that has a similar neckline to your dress—you’ll get a better picture of your big-day look. You can even schedule your trial on a day that you might be going in for a dress fitting or attending a fun event after. Who wants to waste a great hair day!
