BIANCA ALLOTT

Can you tell us a little more about you and your styling background?
I am a stylist based in Gold Coast – Australia.
I began my career in the UK working in salons as a Saturday girl aged 13. Though never taking up colouring or cutting, I found my love in styling and hair extensions.
In 2014, myself, husband and children emigrated to Australia this is when I really started to find my feet in the business. School hair tutorials and bridals soon became my main focus, this has now opened the gates for me to be able to offer LUXXLOXX online education world wide.
What bridal trends are you loving right now?
PONYTAILS!!! I’m a sucker for a volumized pony finished with an added braid. THE BEST!
What new trends can we look forward to?
I’m obsessed with the use of accessories lately. Everyday I hop online and see something new that I would never think of using – highlight of my day.
How do you stay inspired?
Instagram is my main source. There are so many incredibly talented stylists in our community. I love to see a style explode on social media then in return see other stylists be inspired and add their own twist.
What advice would you give to a bridal hairstylist just getting started?
Practice practice practice. Reach out to other like minded stylists, most of us are always happy to help. It does take time to become established, so just keep going.
Best advice to a bride regarding her hairstyle?
When looking for online inspiration, find a style and model similar to you. Hair colour/length, skin tone ect, this makes a huge difference.
Be realistic with what can be achieved.
Choose a style which you are comfortable with. If you are normally a boho, loose textured girl you will not feel yourself on your wedding day in a sleek structured upstyle.
What is the one product/tool you can not live without?
Omg! I have so many, but lately my stand out product is definitely KYK Magic Dust, if this is not in your kit you are missing out big time. I love how much volume and texture this creates and minimises the amount of teasing
Best advice you have ever been given in the hair industry?
Never stop learning – when we stop learning we stop growing!
What do you love to do outside of work?
I love to travel with my little family. My dream is to visit as many countries with them as possible before they fly the nest.
Guilty pleasures?
Haribos – Tequila
All the Real Housewives series!
